Chinese New Year Days
Are Different on Our Regular Calendar Every Year
See When It's Going to be Next Few Years

Chinese New Year starts on the first day of the first month on the lunar calendar.  But if it shows on the western calendar, it varies year by year ranging from the mid-January to late February (totally lasts for 30 days).

The following table gives you some ideas about the variation of the days throughout the next 5 years.

Chinese are very, very active from 2 days before the arrival of the Chinese New Year until the 15th day.

After that, everything starts to settle down and gradually go back to normal.
